James Alvin Jensen worked the mines in Mercur when Marie Merrell
was babysitting for her sister Pearl. They met on a blind date, decided they liked each, then decided to get married in Alaska and homestead. The lightening 6 week courtship is described in one file with lots of cool historical photos taken by Alvin:
